Program in Gerontological Nurse Practitioner at the Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University. She is an internationally recognized gerontological nurse researcher whose interdisciplinary research program focuses on improving outcomes for older people in all stages of health; from healthy to acute\/chronic illness to end of life.\u00a0 Her research related to health promotion and disease prevention for older people includes the areas of exercise, self-care\/self-management, health literacy, complementary and environmental approaches. She also conducts research in the areas of caring for older people with health problems, such as chronic kidney disease, stroke, diabetes mellitus and cancer. Additionally, she has carried out a number of studies related to palliative care and symptom management with an emphasis on nonpharmacological approaches for common symptoms, such as pain, anorexia\/nutrition, sleep problems, constipation, fatigue, anxiety, depression and spirituality. Dr. Ladawan is a lifetime member of Khon Kaen University Alumni, International Nursing Foundation of Japan Alumni and Australian Alumni Association She is an internationally recognized gerontological nurse researcher whose interdisciplinary research program focuses on improving outcomes for older people in all stages of health; from healthy to acute\/chronic illness to end of life.\u00a0 Her research related to health promotion and disease prevention for older people includes the areas of exercise, self-care\/self-management, health literacy, complementary and environmental approaches. She also conducts research in the areas of caring for older people with health problems, such as chronic kidney disease, stroke, diabetes mellitus and cancer. Additionally, she has carried out a number of studies related to palliative care and symptom management with an emphasis on nonpharmacological approaches for common symptoms, such as pain, anorexia\/nutrition, sleep problems, constipation, fatigue, anxiety, depression and spirituality.
