Faculty of Nursing, KKU, Strengthens International Collaboration in Pediatric Nursing with University of Shizuoka, Japan From August 3–5, 2025, the Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University, organized an international academic collaboration program with the School of Nursing, University of Shizuoka, Japan, under the theme “Global Health Nursing Research in Pediatric Nursing.” The event aimed to promote research exchange and academic development in pediatric nursing on a global scale. The delegation received a warm welcome from Prof. Sanae Yamashita, Dean of the School of Nursing. The highlight of the program featured a special lecture by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Julaporn Tangpakdee, Executive Committee Member of the Master of Nursing Science Program in Pediatric Nursing, on the topic: “Children Health Promotion Strategies: Building Foundation for a Healthier Global Future.” Four second-year Master’s students in Pediatric Nursing—Ms. Kingfern Khunsombat, Cadet Nurse Pim Pipatnophiporn, Ms. Sunitra Lampoon, and Ms. Thanaporn Duanyai—presented their research proposals. The session was moderated by Asst. Prof. Mayumi Negishi, followed by a fruitful discussion and idea exchange to foster deeper academic ties between the two institutions. Furthermore, participants were invited to explore the School’s cutting-edge Simulation-Based Learning Center, which exemplifies innovative nursing education and enhances international learning experiences. This collaboration marks a significant step in advancing pediatric nursing education and research towards global excellence.
